GALBA is a group of concerned citizens from a range of backgrounds and from across the political spectrum. We've come together to stop expansion of Leeds Bradford Airport. We work closely with aviation campaigns around the UK to stop any expansion of flying in the climate crisis

Communities tackling the Climate Emergency. Our aim is to push, pull, support and organise to enable Wakefield District to become zero carbon by 2030. We work with the council, we work with community groups, always aiming for the transition to be socially and economically just – locally and globally.

Currently tree planting and maintenance but aiming to expand to other environmental issues as and when resources permit.

Our Future Leeds is a people-led organisation – we connect, support and empower individuals, groups and communities across Leeds to take meaningful action in addressing the climate and ecological emergency. We believe everyone should have a voice in directing the changes necessary to achieve a zero carbon, nature friendly and socially just Leeds.

Ryedale Environmental Group (REG) is a developing grass roots organisation helping local communities reduce Ryedale’s carbon footprint, promoting positive projects to reduce environmental impacts across the district. It is an umbrella organisation for local environmental groups such as Kirkbymoorside, Helmsley, Hovingham, Malton and Pickeringa. New groups are encouraged to join and a forum has developed via monthly meetings to share successful initiatives and brainstorm new ideas. We are strictly apolitical and welcome new members from all political persuasions and walks of life.
